Gone For Good president Abe Bernstein and our recycling franchise team have dedicated themselves to building a brand centered around a vital business need and powered by the belief that all people should have the opportunity to contribute.
Our Start
We began as a program of the non-profit organization formerly known as United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, now United Ability. For over 76 years, their mission has been to empower adults with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities to live full and meaningful lives—partly by helping them find meaningful employment.
In 2006, the green economy was just starting to boom. With it came a rising demand for secure document and e-waste destruction. Gone For Good was created to fill that need—and to open new recycling business opportunities that also promote social responsibility.
